The provision of high-quality services is the foremost mission of DNAlogy laboratories. Our laboratories’ certificates and accreditations are the best guarantee for the reliability of our results.

Accreditation as per quality standard ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025

DNAlogy laboratories are accredited by the National Accreditation System (ESYD) (cert. no 892-4) according to the quality standard ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025 for forensic DNA analysis tests (detection of biological material, analysis and profiling of DNA) and for DNA tests for establishment of biological relationship.

Implementation of ISO 9001 quality standard

The International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have issued a revised communiqué stating that the administrative requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard are operating according to the principles of the ISO 9001 standard.

Certificate of participation in the GEDNAP external audit of quality assurance

The German DNA profiling group GEDNAP organises every year 2 DNA analysis tests to ensure laboratory quality, where the DNAlogy laboratories successfully take part. The tests include the detection of biological material in evidence, the determination of the nature of the biological material, genetic profiling and statistical analysis for identification of suspects.

Certificate of participation in the ISFG-ESWG and ISFG-GF inter-laboratory exercises

DNAlogy laboratories take part in the annual inter-laboratory quality control exercises that are organised by the English and French Speaking Working Groups of the International Society for Forensic Genetics (ISFG-ESWG, ΙSFG-GF) . The exercises include, among other activities, genetic profiling and statistical analysis to determine biological relationships and identify suspects.

Certificate of participation in the GHEP-ISFG inter-laboratory exercises

DNAlogy laboratories take part in the annual inter-laboratory quality control exercises that are organised by Spanish Speaking Working Groups of the International Society for Forensic Genetics (GHEP-ISFG) . The exercises include, among other activities, genetic profiling and statistical analysis to determine biological relationships and identify suspects.

Cooperation with the Ministry of Justice

The experts of DNAlogy have a direct cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, as they are registered in the official lists of experts for the country’s Courts of First Instance and Public Prosecutor Offices, providing their services in detection, analysis and profiling of genetic material (relationship testing, characterisation and identification of evidence) and in toxicological analyses to detect medicines and narcotics.

Ministry of Immigration Policy (currently the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum)

The laboratories of DNAlogy thanks to their ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation are included in the official list of laboratories that can perform DNA tests for establishment of paternity-relationship for the purposes of issue of residence permits for foreigners on the grounds of paternal or other blood relationship with underage nationals.

International Criminal Court

The experts of DNAlogy are registered in the official list of experts of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, for detection, analysis and profiling of genetic material, providing their services at an international level.

DNAlogy laboratories participate in the annual scheme of the INSTAND medical scientific society and are certified for the quantitative and qualitative control of toxicological analyses in human urine samples.

DNAlogy laboratories participate in the annual scheme of the LGC standards, division of LGC Group, global service provider of quality assurance and are certified for the quantitative and quantitative control of toxicological analyses in human urine samples.

NDASA - National Drug & Alcohol Screening Association

DNAlogy is an international member of the National Drug & Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) which aims to the maintenance of safe and drug and alcohol-free workplaces. Through this worldwide partnership, the development of international drug and alcohol testing standards is ensured, in combination with the existing internationally recognized and established standards.

DNAlogy laboratories participate in the annual scheme of the INSTAND medical scientific society and are certified for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus in human cellular material.
