The laboratories of DNAlogy are staffed by specialised scientific personnel, with post-graduate and doctoral qualifications in Molecular Biology and Genetics. At the same time. they are equipped with advanced robotic systems that allow automation of analyses and minimisation of human intervention, while every stage of analysis is carried out in a different room to prevent contamination.

Quality: DNAlogy laboratories are accredited by the National Accreditation System (ESYD) (cert. no 892-3) in accordance with Quality Standard ΕΝ ISO/ΙEC 17025: 2017 for all DNA tests that determine biological relationship (1^st to 6^th degree relationship).

Furthermore, the laboratories of DNAlogy participate with success in the annual international genetic analysis proficiency tests run by GEDNAP, the German DNA Profiling Group, and in the annual inter-laboratory control exercises of the International Society for Forensic Genetics – Groupe Francophone and the ISFG – English Speaking Working Group.

Analysis of 24 - 44 STRs

DNAlogy analyses include the study of 24-44 genetic markers (STRs) to ascertain the degree of biological relationship. Moreover, 27 Y chromosome markers can also be tested to determine common paternal lineage.

Results

The results of laboratory analyses are entered in special software which taking into consideration all required parameters (e.g. race, likelihood of mutation, internationally-recognised population databases, etc) process the data to compute the final results.

Expert Report

Analysis and interpretation of results is carried out by 2 special experts in our laboratory, who also sign off the final expert report that contains the laboratory results and the detailed conclusions.

*The results of analyses are notified only to the person that submitted the request in 5-7 working days, or 2-3 working days (Express procedure).

Ανάλυση 17 - 41 STRs

Αποτελέσματα

Τα αποτελέσματα των εργαστηριακών αναλύσεων εισάγονται σε ειδικά λογισμικά τα οποία λαμβάνοντας υπόψη όλες τις απαραίτητες παραμέτρους (π.χ. φυλή προέλευσης εξεταζόμενων, πιθανότητα μετάλλαξης του γενετικού υλικού, διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένες πληθυσμιακές βάσεις δεδομένων κ.α.), επεξεργάζονται τα δεδομένα για την εξαγωγή των τελικών αποτελεσμάτων.

Η ανάλυση και ερμηνεία των αποτελεσμάτων πραγματοποιείται από 2 ειδικούς πραγματογνώμονες του εργαστηρίου μας, οι οποίοι υπογράφουν την τελική έκθεση πραγματογνωμοσύνης που περιέχει τα εργαστηριακά αποτελέσματα και αναλυτικά συμπεράσματα.
