Blood drug testing is used to determine whether someone has recently used drugs

Blood analysis for drugs and pharmaceutical substances presents a very narrow window of detection because these substances are metabolized and excreted from the body within a few hours. On the other hand, drugs can be detected in blood only a few minutes or hours after absorption from the organism, in contrast to other types of biological samples which require a few days before detection.

Sample collection: Serum, plasma or whole blood can be used for testing. Blood sampling can be performed with a finger prick.
